Celebration of Ganesh Chathurthi at GRD Academy Biharigarh
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Ganesha. The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesha clay idols (murtis) and usually ends on the tenth day after start, when the idol is carried in a public procession with music and group chanting, then immersed in a nearby body of water such as a river or ocean. The idols are decorated with flower garlands and offerings of produce, In the GRD Academy Biharigarh, there were celebrations by the students for Ganesh, including re-enactments of the story of his birth, musical performances, and processions.
